People Can Surprise You
I just opened my inbox for the first time in a couple days and found an email from you. I was so surprised to see it, I just clicked it to see if it was real.
I read it in its entirety, half scared of being hurt but half smiling. I had nothing to be scared about, I’m glad to hear you’re doing well and that you cared to update me on your life. It reminded me of what a really good guy you are and why I fell in love with you in the first place.
I’m not ready to be friends just yet, but I’m glad we’re on the right track. I’m healing pretty fast and I’m realizing this is best. We both don’t know what’s ahead in the future, but I hope it’s safe to say we’ll keep in touch.
